November 2021 Theme – Share the Love, the Light, the Truth

This month, we take an in-depth look at the love felt within the walls of the Santa Anita Church, the light of our individual hearts illuminating the Santa Anita Church community (and beyond) and the Spiritual Truth that we are simply here to let God be God in us! Week by week throughout this month, we will explore and experience the depth of who we are and what that means in today’s ever-changing world, we will lay building blocks of Spiritual Truth to create a solid foundation upon which we can firmly stand.

November 7 – Who Would You Be If You Knew You Could Not Fail? – Part I
This is a thought-provoking question, isn’t it? Today, we begin to explore it. If we really believed that God is Good all the time, that we are simply here to let God be God in us and that failure is not an option, how would we move forward? This week and next, we will find out!

November 14 – Who Would You Be If You Knew You Could Not Fail? – Part II
Picking up where we concluded last week, today we continue exploring who we are in God and what we might do if we knew we could not fail!

November 21 – What Does ‘There is Only One’ Really Mean?
Our foundational spiritual truth says this: There is only One — One Power, One Presence, One Mind, One Life. Sounds good, doesn’t it? That is, until something which we don’t like comes into our existence, and then we do everything we can to push it away. But if there is only One, then what are we pushing away? We unravel this question today as we look at what “there is only One” really means.

November 28 – Many Hands, One Heart
Here’s a deep Spiritual Truth for us all — We are not meant to go it alone! We were put on this earth together to do great things together. We are made out of the same Spiritual Stuff. We beat with One Heart! So building community within which we can support and be supported is natural to us. Then why does it sometimes seem so hard? Together, we will explore and break through the barrier together!

This Month’s Affirmation
Knowing I am simply here to let God be God in me, I live in the infinite flow of God’s Love, Light and Truth. All is well. All is good. All is perfect! I am well. I am good. I am perfect!

The Light of Hope
Life can hit hard and sometimes it feels impossible to believe that there’s a Divine Hand guiding things. But if we can find even the smallest light of hope, clarity can find us and we can grasp that Divine Hand, fully awakened. Join us as we find that light and join hands with Divinity! April 20 – Resurrecting Hope (Easter)On this Easter Sunday we look at the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus as a metaphor for how far Ego will go to destroy peace, sabotage our relationships, and deflect the miracles of our Divine inheritance and how God’s power, through love, can conquer it all. April 27 – Light of HopeBad news and personal struggles can leave us feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, and emotionally drained. The last thing we want to do in such times is work on finding hope, but that is exactly what we should do. Taking steps like expressing gratitude, learning something new, acknowledging an accomplishment, and delighting in the simplest thing – no matter how small – can break up the negative thought patterns we get stuck in and re-orient our thinking. In doing so, we rediscover a sense of hope, and a belief that things really will be okay. May 4 – Hope Is In…Taking inspiration from Tim Burton’s 2010 adaptation of Alice in Wonderland and her own personal struggles, Rev. Gina reminds us that there is always hope. Having trouble finding hope? Seek evidence. Look at your life and see evidence of your having survived and grown through other challenges. May 11 – Here’s Hoping”I hope they get what they deserve.” This not uncommon thought, despite using the word “hope,” is actually a judgement. Being able to find hope – true hope – when the going gets rough takes effort in acknowledging there is a Divine Hand in everything. This Divine Hand, the Spirit of Love, moves even the worst situation toward good. May 18 – Only HopeRev. Gina closes this series by bringing pieces of seemingly shattered life events together to form a beautiful kaleidoscope of hope showing that even when it looks like all hope is lost, in our deepest winter, Spirit was planting a seed we’d one day call our greatest gift. When the Light seems entirely gone, even when the world seems so dark you can’t imagine it spinning any more, inherent in the darkness – bringing you vivid color – is a glorious reality waiting for you if you only choose to see it.
