The World Needs NOW!
Join Rev. Gina over the next two months as we aim to find our permanent place in the “Now” – what that means, why it’s important, and how it will completely transform your life! With inspiration from Lama Surya Das, Osho, Eckhart Tolle, Leonard Jacobson, and Elizabeth Lesser, come learn how to live a life of bliss – in every moment! In that time we will also be blessed with three guest speakers, Dr. Rev. Jerry Troyer, Rev. Bill MacDonald, and Marvin Rolnick, speaking on May 5, June 2, and June 19, respectively.
May 5 – The Joy of Non-Attachment: How it ‘should’ be vs how it is.
We welcome Rev. Dr. Jerry Troyer as he walks use through letting go of our attachment to how things “should be” versus how they are. When we release our attempted “control” of the world around us, we realize the joy of non-attachment.
May 12 – The World Needs NOW!
Jumping into the 5-week theme, Rev. Gina begins to delve into the concept that living in the NOW is the only way to live. Reliving events of the past or worrying about the future serve no purpose other than to keep us from focusing on the here and now.
May 19 – I Am Is Now
This week, we look at excerpts from texts of Eckhart Tolle and Leonard Jacobson focused on living in the now.
May 26 – You Can Only Live Now
Every hour, every minute, every second – no matter how many days, weeks, years, decades, God is the one constant you can rely on. So why do we spend all of our seconds, minutes, hours, and days searching for a Divinity which is always with us?
June 2 – Healing, Loving, Forgiving (Rev. Bill McDonald)
Tying right in with the theme of Living in the Now, today we welcome special guest, Rev. Bill McDonald, to the pulpit to speak on “Healing, Loving, Forgiving”.
June 9 – How About Now?
“To be able to be unhurried when hurried; To be able not to slack off when relaxed; to be able not to be frightened and at a loss for what to do when frightened and at a loss; this is the learning that returns us to our natural state and transforms our lives.” ~Liu Wenmin (16th c.)
June 16 – A life in A Course in Miracles (Marvin Rolnick)
Marvin Rolnick shares his experience in going from a penny-stock broker living in the “ego mind” of a world of duality to a student of A Course in Miracles and author through the realization that he is, as we all are, a child of a loving God.
June 23 – Right About Now
Rev. Gina recaps the first four lessons in the search for the Now and ties them together in the culmination of this five week series.
